Man arrested for allegedly stealing crates of beer from different stalls at Bedok hawker centre

A 49-year-old man who allegedly stole beer was arrested along Bedok North Road on Saturday (Dec 7).

The police said they had received several reports about crates of beer being stolen from different stalls located at a hawker centre along Bedok North Road on Nov 30 and Dec 6.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division identified the suspect and nabbed him.

The man will be charged in court on Monday (Dec 9) with theft in dwelling, which carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
