Man, 24, arrested for stealing cartons of coriander from Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre

A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing four cartons of coriander from Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre on Tuesday (Oct 22).

The police said in a statement they received a report on Tuesday at 11.15am that cartons of coriander stored in a cold room at the wholesale centre had gone missing.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.

Preliminary investigations revealed the man is believed have been involved in other similar cases reported at the same wholesale centre.

The man will be charged in court on Thursday (Oct 24) with theft in dwelling.

If convicted, he faces up to seven years' jail and a fine.
