One of the rear passenger doors is still open when the man bends down and reaches into the vehicle to carry out a young child.

However, as he is doing this, the cabby starts driving off, causing the man to lose his balance and fall on top of the child before rolling onto the ground.

The two women rush over to help them get back up.

The video has since garnered over 125,000 views on Facebook.

Netizens took issue with the fact that the cabby did not exit his vehicle after what happened and simply drove off.

"This family is really forgiving," said one Facebook user.

In response to a Stomp query, a ComfortDelGro spokesperson said: "We are currently investigating the incident.

"In the meantime, we have reached out to the passengers to offer our assistance and reminded our cabbies to be aware of their surroundings before moving off."
