Some Lengkok Bahru residents continue to dump rubbish in common areas despite notices advising them to discard their trash properly.

Stomper Jacky shared her frustrations with Stomp and shared a photo taken at Block 47 Lengkok Bahru on Nov 25 at 10.45pm of empty cardboard boxes and litter left right under notices put up by the Tanjong Pagar Town Council (TPTC).

One notice reminds residents to 'recycle responsibly' and another urges them to 'bin it right'.

She called the culprits 'irresponsible and unethical'.

"The recycling bins are conveniently located nearby," she said.

"First world country, third world attitude."

This is not the first time Jacky has highlighted the 'persistent and irresponsible' rubbish dumping in her neighbourhood.

In October, she shared photos of junk and non-recyclables left next to recycling bins at Block 46.

The TPTC told Stomp it sought NEA's assistance to clear the bins and to consider moving recycling bins in that area.
