A Stomper was taking the lift at Blk 289B Bukit Batok Street 25 this morning (Mar 8) when he saw a letter demanding for the return of $500.
Written in Chinese, the letter is addressed to someone and reads:
“You left without informing me at all. All the while, you were intending to cheat me. I heard about your circumstances, and out of the kindness of my heart lent you $500, and even requested that your company pay you your salary in advance. Yet you returned my goodwill with evil.
“If you do not contact me by 10pm tonight, I will report this to the police and the Ministry of Manpower, and make sure you will never be able to step foot in Singapore again.”
A photo of the intended recipient’s driving licence can also be seen reproduced in the bottom right of the letter.
The Stomper wondered if the letter was written to an ex-lover or ex-cohabitee.
He said:
“I’m surprised.
“Why make such a personal issue so public?”
