GetGo compensates user after he finds ants and other insects inside car at Bedok Reservoir

A GetGo car user was disgusted when he found insects inside a car he had rented on Sept 9.

The Stomper told Stomp he had made a booking to rent at Block 722 Bedok Reservoir Road and shared photos and videos of the creepy crawlies he found after getting into the vehicle.

"It was filled with black stinger ants and they were all over the car," he said.

"There were other insects too."

In response to a Stomp query, a GetGo spokesman said: "We take these reports seriously and strive to take appropriate measures to ensure that all our vehicles are serviceable and of the highest hygiene standards.

"We are aware of the incident and our operations team is investigating the issue.

"We have made compensation to the user for any inconvenience they have experienced.

"Users are encouraged to use the in-app reporting feature to flag any issues with regards to the cleanliness of the vehicle.

"Alternatively, users can engage with our agents via live chat for further assistance."
