Two food delivery riders were involved in separate accidents on the same day on Oct 19.

Stomper Peter alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and videos taken by members of the food delivery riders community.

A 38-year-old Foodpanda rider was conscious when he was taken to hospital after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Leng Kee Road and Hoy Fatt Road.

The police told Stomp they were alerted to the incident at 8.05pm.

A 55-year-old GrabFood rider who was riding a power-assisted bicycle was conscious when he was taken to hospital after an accident with a car along Lower Delta Road, near Tiong Bahru Park.

The police were alerted to this incident at 10.10pm.

Investigations into both accidents are ongoing.

Peter said: "Members of the public sent these photos and videos that were forwarded to me by members of my chat groups.

"When I reached both locations, police and ambulance were already on-site.

"This merging lane opposite Tiong Bahru Park is rather dangerous.

"Drivers don't normally check their blind spots before filtering out to the main road."

The rider who was involved in the accident near Tiong Bahru Park is appealing for eyewitnesses, Peter added.
