Fire breaks out at construction site along Bras Basah Road

A fire broke out at a construction site at 71 Bras Basah Road on Sunday afternoon (Aug 11).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it responded to the incident at 2.59pm.

Stomper Roger shared photos showing a fire engine and a police car at the scene.

He told Stomp: "Smoke was billowing out from the construction site and SCDF officers were putting out the fire."

The fire, which involved construction materials, was extinguished using one 38mm water jet.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
