Female motorcyclist injured in accident on PIE, family appealing for witnesses

The family of a female motorcyclist is appealing for witnesses after the latter got into an accident along the Pan Island Expressway on Thursday morning (Dec 26).

A video of the accident was posted on Facebook page SG Road Vigilante. From the video, a black car on the rightmost lane can be seen going closer to the motorcyclist on its left.

The car bumps into the side of the motorcycle which then falls. The motorcyclist can also be seen falling onto the ground.

According to the post, the motorcyclist got into an accident along PIE towards Changi, after Thomson Road exit 17D.

Unfortunately, the car plate number cannot be seen from video footage, so the family is appealing to witnesses who were in that area to come forward if they have more information.

Due to the accident, the motorcyclist had to undergo surgery. The Facebook post said that she "mainly suffered from fracture cheek, lost of multiple teeth, broken bones and abrasion."
