Elderly woman stumbles after getting hit by e-bike at carpark

An elderly woman had a nasty shock after an e-bike rider sideswiped her as she was crossing a road on Wednesday (Nov 1).

Stomper Happy Kor alerted Stomp to the incident that was posted on ROADS.sg's Facebook page.

In the video, a woman is seen crossing at a carpark.

She does not see the oncoming e-bike from her left, which appears to be going at a high speed.

The e-bike rider does not slow down and is seen ducking as he hits the woman.

The woman is seen stumbling from the impact and staring at the rider before continuing on her way.

It is unclear whether the e-bike rider stopped to check on her afterwards.

Facebook users took to the comments to dispute who was at fault here.

Some said the rider 'should be jailed'.

Others said the woman should have looked before crossing.

One commenter even said the vehicles in front of the cam car should not have stopped at the crossing as they obstructed the pedestrian's view.
