Family of four squeeze onto e-bike and ride along Kallang Road without helmets at up to 60 kmh

A family of four has attracted the attention of netizens after they were seen riding a single e-bike along Kallang Road on June 14.

Footage of the incident was posted on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube channel.

In the video, a man is riding the e-bike with a female passenger and two pre-school-aged children squeezed on the same seat.

None of them are wearing helmets.

According to the post, the e-bike was travelling at speeds up to 60 kmh.

Under the Active Mobility Act, power-assisted bicycle (PAB) riders are not allowed to carry passengers who are under 16 years old on cycling paths and roads.

Netizens expressed shock at the video and said the parents were 'risking the lives' of their children.
