Diners queue for $1 chicken rice aka 'best deal of the year' at Bukit Batok coffee shop

Singaporeans love a good deal.

So it was no surprise to see a long queue for $1 chicken rice at a coffee shop at Block 272 Bukit Batok East Avenue 4.

Stomper Steven said he came across the chicken rice stall's opening promotion on Saturday (June 10), at around 5.30pm.

According to a banner at the stall, the offer ran for three days and each diner could buy up to three packets of rose soy sauce chicken rice.

Steven said: "This is surely the best deal of the year. It's hard to beat and there's no gimmick such as first 50 packets per day like other similar promotions. The only thing is that each person can only buy three packets.

"I am not sure from what date to what date was the promotion as I do not live in the area, but the queue was building up at 5.30pm that day. I am sure it was much longer by 7pm."

Sounds like a great bargain, though we might need YouTuber Angel Hsu to say for sure.
