Diner upset over $4.50 economy rice with 3 veggies and 1 meat: 'Serving people like animals'

Is $4.50 for economy rice with three vegetables and one meat too expensive?

According to Stomper Shals, yes, especially when considering portion sizes.

Shals visited the mixed rice stall at Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre for the first time on Wednesday (Sept 6), at around 10am, and left sorely disappointed.

The Stomper said: "I came here to get my lunch and to my utter disappointment, I was charged $4.50 for three vegetables and one meat dish.

"Furthermore, all the servings as shown in the picture seem so disappointing. I was given four brinjal pieces, lol.

"I've eaten at many shops and it is a first to see such servings at such a high price! See my picture below for reference."

Shals said she was charged the same price for better portions at another economy rice stall.

She added: "I'm just putting it out there as this shop shouldn't be supported by anyone if they're going to serve people like animals."
