A cyclist was narrowly avoided getting hit by oncoming traffic after falling onto the road in the Central Expressway (CTE) tunnel on Tuesday (Oct 12).

Footage of the incident was shared on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube channel.

In the video, the cyclist falls with his bike from a walkway meant for maintenance work.

It is unclear whether he was cycling or pushing his bike along the narrow pathway.

One car manages to swerve to the right to avoid him while the vehicle with the carcam slows down in time and overtakes him.

Another cyclist is seen pushing his bike along the walkway near the end of the tunnel.

According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), cyclists are not allowed to expressways and road tunnels.
