Commuter amused by woman using stool on MRT: 'Made my day awesome'

A man was amused by a fellow commuter sitting on a stool inside an MRT train on Feb 7.

Stomper Md Shariff shared a video of the woman perched on top of a stool with four wheels.

"I saw her inside the train from Paya Lebar to Bedok," he said.

"It made my day awesome."

Perhaps the woman brought her own seat to avoid standing on the train during the morning peak hours.

Two months ago, a Reddit user posed the question of whether commuters can bring their own stools or chairs on public buses and trains.

One commenter said it's okay if you keep to your own personal space.

Another user responded: "Those stools are not stable in a moving train.

"Higher chance you will end up [falling] due to inertia and end up looking a fool."

Another shared: "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
