Car bursts into flames near Sengkang HDB block

A car burst into flames near Block 144 Rivervale Drive on Sunday afternoon (Oct 22).
Stomper Dave alerted Stomp to the fire and shared photos and videos of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) firefighters arriving to extinguish the fire.
The vehicle was blackened and the air in the area was filled with smoke.
In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said they were alerted to the fire at 1.55pm.
"SCDF extinguished the fire using a compressed air foam jet," an SCDF spokesperson said.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
