A bus window suddenly shattered after it was hit by an outside object while it was travelling along Tampines Avenue 9 on Jan 30 at about 11.30am.

Stomper Fazli alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and videos of the damaged window.

"The explosion was loud and sudden," he said.

"At first, the driver stopped to examine it and then continued to drive until some of the shattered glass started to crumble down and he finally stopped at the Tampines Polytechnic bus stop.

"All passengers alighted as the driver instructed."

In the video, pieces of glass are seen on some bus seats.

Fazli added that two people were sitting close to the affected window but nobody was injured.

In response to a Stomp query, SBS Transit spokesperson Mrs Grace Wu said a window panel on the left side of the bus was hit by an object from the outside.

"No one was injured," she said.

"For safety reasons, the trip was disrupted and passengers transferred to another bus to continue on their journey.

"We are also looking into the incident."
