1 passenger injured by shattered window after lorry crashes into bus at Kranji Road

A bus and a lorry got into an accident along Kranji Road on Jan 19, leaving one man injured.

A passenger, who was onboard SMRT bus service 925 when the accident occurred at around 4pm, posted a video of the scene and called it the "worst day".

The TikTok video, which has been viewed more than 393,000 times, shows shattered glass strewn all over the inside of the bus, including on its seats and the ground.

The TikToker also wrote in the caption: "Haiss such a bad day."

The video was reposted on Facebook, with a caption saying: "Bus passengers were left covered in glass."

In response to a Stomp query, Mr Vincent Gay, deputy managing director of SMRT Buses, said the bus was travelling along Kranji Road when a lorry behind skidded and collided with the rear of the bus.

He added: "As a result, a male commuter's right palm was injured by the shattered bus window panel. When offered by our bus captain, the commuter declined medical assistance.

"The remaining commuters were safely transferred onto another bus to continue their journeys."
