Go-Ahead Singapore has suspended a bus captain for leaving the rear door of a bus open while the vehicle was on the move.

Stomper Regine shared a video of the incident that occurred while she was onboard bus service 43 on Jan 10, at around 9.20am.

She said: "The bus driver forgot to close the door at bus stop 62141 (one stop after Serangoon Stn Exit C) before driving to the next stop."

According to Regine, the bus door was left open for "two to three minutes".

In response to a Stomp query, a spokeswoman for Go-Ahead Singapore said it is aware of the incident "where the bus's rear door was left open while the bus was moving".

The spokeswoman added: "Our preliminary findings show that in attempting to close the front door properly, the bus captain erroneously pressed a button which triggered the rear door to open. This was rectified at the next bus stop.

"The bus captain concerned has been suspended pending a detailed investigation."
