Bus driver, 72, assisting with investigations after rear-ending motorcyclist in Clementi

A 72-year-old bus driver is assisting with police investigations after he rear-ended a motorcyclist in Clementi on Jan 8.

Dashcam footage posted on Facebook shows the private bus hitting the rider from the back, sending him flailing forward and crashing into the car in front of him. The visor on his helmet can be seen getting flung off by the impact.

Another video shows paramedics attending to the 33-year-old motorcyclist.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car, a bus and a motorcycle at the junction of Clementi Avenue 6 and Commonwealth Avenue West at 7.15am.

The motorcyclist was conscious when taken to National University Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
