A BlueSG driver was caught on video losing control of the rental vehicle and road barriers on the Farrer Flyover on Jan 22.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to footage of the incident posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

According to the post, the car was 'speeding' before it crashed.

The BlueSG car is seen travelling along the rightmost lane before it loses control while navigating a bend and crashing into the road divider.

It then slams into the road barrier on the other side of the road before coming to a stop.

Stomp understands the incident has been reported to the relevant insurers.

While many netizens said the incident was a 'lesson' for the driver, one Facebook user said the right lane of that particular flyover should be avoided when the road is wet, especially at night.

"There are drainage covers on the right-hand side of the flyover and they are not flush, so the front right tyre grabs the depression and pulls the car sideways a little bit, drivers who don't expect it always smash into the wall," he said.

"Every time it rains, there is an accident."
