Truck driver assisting with investigations after running red light and hitting 2 cars

A 37-year-old truck driver is assisting with police investigations after he was caught on camera running a red light and colliding with two cars.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the incident, which occurred at the junction of Jurong East 21 and Jurong East Central on Jan 19.

In the video, the truck is seen failing to stop for a red light. It then collides with a light-coloured car, the impact of which sends the truck crashing into a dark-coloured car.

A cyclist appears to have narrowly avoided the accident, but can be seen picking up his bicycle from the road.

While many netizens left comments slamming the truck driver, one netizen noted that the area is particularly accident-prone.

In response to a Stomp query, the police were alerted to an accident involving two cars and a truck at about 8.15pm.

No injuries were reported.

Police investigations are ongoing.
