A 24-year-old female motorcyclist was taken to hospital after crashing into the rear of a taxi along the Central Expressway (CTE) towards the Seletar Expressway (SLE), near the Jalan Bahagia exit on Saturday afternoon (June 13).

Stomper Edros alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that shows the taxi involved cutting across lanes while making a last-minute exit towards Jalan Bahagia.

The cabby apparently does not see the rider coming up behind him in his blind spot.

The collision causes the rider to fall onto the road and the taxi to crash into shrubbery on the side of the expressway.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 3.16pm.

"The 24-year-old female motorcyclist was conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
