A motorcyclist was seen lying in the middle of the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) after a collision with a lorry on Oct 24 at about 6pm.

A Stomper was travelling in a company bus from Jurong to Yew Tee, on the way back from work, when he noticed a congestion on the road.

He looked out the window, saw the aftermath of the accident and took a video and sent to Stomp.

In the video, the motorcyclist was first seen lying on the road, trying to get up.

The accident caused a congestion on the expressway as the biker and his motorcycle blocked three lanes of traffic.

A man in a black shirt approached the motorcyclist and seemed to be checking on him.

The motorcyclist then sat up cross-legged as a man in a brown shirt and another motorcyclist approached.

The Stomper said: "The motorcyclist is super lucky. There was another huge lorry which braked to avoid running him over."

The video ended with the Stomper's bus moving off.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said: "On Oct 24 at 6.18pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a lorry and a motorcycle along PIE towards Changi Airport.

"A motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man, was conscious was conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

Stomp understands that the motorcyclist sustained superficial injuries after he hit the lorry from the side.
