Actor Zhang Zhenhuan relocating to China after 10 years with Mediacorp

Sichuan-born actor Zhang Zhenhuan will be relocating to China when his contract with Mediacorp expires this month, following a successful 10-year stint in Singapore with the company.

He said in a statement on Friday (Nov 30): "I’m deeply grateful for the company’s commitment to cultivating and honing my talent.

"I hope to be given opportunities to work with Mediacorp again on future projects."

The 34-year-old also extended his "personal and heartfelt thanks to fans for their support and encouragement over the past decade".

Ivy Low, Head of The Celebrity Agency, said: "We’re glad to have discovered Zhenhuan in 2008 in the Channel U variety programme 'You Are The One', back when he was still a National University of Singapore undergrad.

"He has our encouragement as he brings his craft, passion and dreams with him into new territories.

"We’re open to collaborating with him in the future, and wish him every success."

Zhang is known for starring in Channel 8 dramas 'While We Are Young' and 'Have A Little Faith', as well as for roles in long-form serials 'Reach For The Skies' and '118'.

He won Best Supporting Actor at the Star Awards 2016, Favourite Male Character at the Star Awards 2015, and was named as one of the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes in 2014, 2016 and 2017.
