Original article:

Six Jay & Joy products from France are being recalled by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) due to the possible presence of a bacteria called listeria monocytogenes following a notification by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

The products are:

  • Jeanne Le Blute Vegan Blue Cheese
  • Jill Vegan Goat Cheese
  • Josephine Vegan Brie
  • Vegan Pate
  • Vegan Geraspte Kaas Grated Cheese
  • Jean Jacques Vegan Maroilles

All batches of the products regardless of "use by" date are affected.

As the implicated products were imported into Singapore, SFA has directed the importer, Eurolink Nutrition, to recall the product.

The recall is ongoing.

Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogenic bacteria that can cause food-borne illnesses. Symptoms may include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.

Consumers who have purchased the implicated product are advised not to consume it. Those who have consumed the implicated product and have concerns about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries.
