52-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting woman at Changi Road

A 52-year-old man was arrested within three hours of allegedly molesting a woman in the vicinity of Changi Road.

The police said they were alerted to the incident on Tuesday (Apr 11), at around 9.50pm.

Through ground enquiries, coordination with the Police Operations Command Centre, plus the aid of police cameras and the use of video analytics, officers from Bedok Police Division located the suspect and arrested him along Haig Road on Wednesday, at 12.20am.

The man will be charged in court on Thursday with outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to three years and/or a fine and/or caning.

The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of the community, adding: "Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law."
