34-year-old man arrested for alleged murder after woman, 41, found dead in Woodlands

A 34-year-old man was arrested for the alleged murder of a woman who was found dead at Woodlands Avenue 6 on Thursday morning (Jan 17).

The police said in a statement that they received a call for assistance at about 1.34am.

The 41-year-old woman was found lying motionless inside a room and she was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The police quickly established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on the same day.

Both the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

The man will be charged in court on Jan 18 for murder.

Police investigations are ongoing.
