23 women arrested for employment-related offences during raid at public entertainment outlets

Twenty-three women, aged between 20 and 35, were arrested for employment-related offences after seven public entertainment outlets were found to have contravened licensing conditions.

The police launched a series of enforcement operations on public entertainment outlets located along South Bridge Road, Merchant Road, Magazine Road, Tanjong Pagar Road, Tras Street, Duxton Road, Neil Road, New Bridge Road and Kampong Bahru Road between Sep 1 and 2.

For breaching the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act, action will be taken against the operators. 

The police takes a serious view against anyone found breaking the law and continues to take a tough enforcement stance against such activities.
