22-year-old man arrested after allegedly splashing Ang Mo Kio HDB flat with white paint

A 22-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of loanshark harassment.

The police said in a statement that they were alerted to the case on Mar 24 at about 11.05pm.

A residential unit at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 was found splashed with white paint.

The man was identified and arrested within five hours.

He will be charged in court on Mar 26 with loanshark harassment.

Those found guilty of loanshark harassment can be fined between $5,000 and $50,000, jailed for up to five years, and caned up to six strokes.

Members of the public are advised to stay away from loansharks and not work with or assist them in any way.
