Singapore might be geographically small when compared to other countries, but we have gone through so much and come so far as a nation.

We have evolved from a simple village in the 1930s to the independent and bustling city it is today.

The dark days of the Japanese Occupation in 1942 and heartbreaking separation from Malaysia in 1965 are just a few milestones we have passed over the last 80 years.

This beautiful animated film directed by Ervin Han shows a violin's unexpected journey through the decades as it goes through multiple owners and braves the various storms in Singapore.
