A man was lying on the floor in pain at the Woodlands bus interchange on Saturday night (May 6) before an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.

Stomper Wilson said he saw a crowd gathering in Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub at 10.30pm.

"I walked over and saw a man lying on the floor in great pain. I was shocked.

"I thought he was drunk at first, but I heard from a passer-by that he had fallen down. It seemed the man was badly hurt as he couldn’t even move a single bit.

"When I checked with the SMRT staff, they said they had called for an ambulance."

He singled out one SMRT staff member for her compassion.

"This SMRT staff was very caring," said the Stomper.

"She kept giving reassurance to the man before the paramedics arrived. 'Well done' to the SMRT staff for helping the man."

The Stomper shared photos of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics attending to the man and placing him on a stretcher.

In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it received a call for assistance at 30 Woodlands Avenue 2 at about 10.40pm and took the man to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
