The Serangoon North resident who was spotted using a long water hose connected to the 10th floor to wash a car on the ground floor on September 6 has been advised by Ang Mo Kio Town Council to use designated car washing bays instead.

Stomper Kenneth had previously informed Stomp that he saw the resident washing a car with the 'longest hose' at Block 506 Serangoon North Avenue 4.

Kenneth also sent photos of what he saw.

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for Ang Mo Kio Town Council said: "After we discovered the incident, the town council put up advisory notices to educate residents at Block 506 Serangoon North Avenue 4 on the safety hazards that this act posed to residents and passers-by.

"After finding out who the individual responsible for the act was, we spoke with the individual and have sought his cooperation to wash his vehicle at the designated car washing bays provided at the HDB multi-storey car park located at Blk 504A instead."
