7 arrested in crackdown on vice syndicate

Five women and two men, aged between 21 and 37, were arrested during a two-day operation targetting a vice syndicate on Apr 11 and 12.

During the operation conducted by Central Police Division and Criminal Investigation Department along Race Course Road, River Valley and Woodlands, the five women and two men were arrested for offences under the Women's Charter.

Preliminary investigations revealed that five women had advertised their sexual services online and were operating from rented apartments.

The two men were believed to have assisted the syndicate in their operations.

Investigations are ongoing.
