A 17-year-old youth has been arrested for his suspected involvement in three cases of sexual harassment that happened in Pasir Ris.
The police said in a statement that they received three separate reports of female victims who were harassed by an unknown youth between Aug 28 and 31.
Officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the youth and arrested him on Tuesday (Sep 1).
The youth will be charged in court on Wednesday (Sep 2) with the offence of insulting the modesty of any person, voyeurism and intentionally causing harassment.
Anyone convicted of insulting the modesty of any person faces up to up to one year's jail, a fine, or both.
The offence of voyeurism carries a punishment of up to two years' jail, a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
The offence of intentionally causing harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act carries a punishment of up to six months' jail, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
