A woman is looking for a bag of 20 library books that she lost in Bedok.

Stomper Madelyn said the brown bag contains children's books that she borrowed from Bedok Public Library.

The items went missing while she was cycling along 210 Bedok Central and FairPrice Supermarket on December 2, at around 4.15pm.

She told Stomp: "The brown bag dropped from my bicycle without my knowledge. When I turned back 10 minutes later, I couldn't find the bag anywhere at all.

"I would like to appeal to the person who found my 20 children's library books to please return them."

Madelyn shared a photo showing the list of books she had borrowed and the fees she will have to pay if she is unable to return the books to the library in time.

The total fees amount to $330.13.

Madelyn added: "The prices on the receipt are the costs of the books and the admin fee to replace them. I have already renewed my loan for the books once."

Books borrowed from the National Library Board (NLB) have a loan period of 21 days. Users may renew them for another 21 days if the item has not been reserved by another member and is not overdue. Each item can be renewed once.

Users who lose or damage a library item will have to the cost of the lost and/or damaged item, plus an administrative fee of $7.15 per item, according to NLB's website.
