Two men arrested after fight at Orchard MRT Station, one seen bleeding from nose

Two men, aged 38 and 68, were arrested after they were involved in a fight at Orchard MRT Station on Oct 3.

Stomper Nittie Grit alerted Stomp to the incident after sharing a photo of an older man bent over, leaning on a gantry and bleeding from his nose.

A small pool of blood is seen on the floor.

In response to a Stomp query, SMRT Trains president Mr Lam Sheau Kai said the station's staff were alerted to an altercation between two commuters at Orchard MRT Station on the North-South Line on Oct 3 at 7.35am.

"[Our staff] persuaded the two commuters to stop fighting and provided first aid to one of them who had a bleeding nose," he said.

"TransCom was activated, and we are assisting the police in their investigations."

The police told Stomp they received a call for assistance at 301 Orchard Boulevard at 7.40am.

"Two men, aged 38 and 68, were arrested for affray," a police spokesperson said.

"The 68-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital."

Police investigations are ongoing.
