2 women taken to hospital after accident involving car and lorry at junction of Mandai Road and BKE

Two women were taken to hospital after an accident involving a car and a lorry at the junction of Mandai Road and the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE)  on Jan 4.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was shared on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube and Facebook page.

From the footage, the lorry appears to have hit the side of the car head-on.

A police vehicle is also at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 11.30am.

"A 47-year-old female car driver and her 43-year-old female passenger were conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
