Tipper truck crashes into exit sign along AYE, police investigating

A tipper truck crashed into an exit sign along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) in the early hours on Sunday (Aug 19).

Stomper Mike shared photos of the accident with Stomp that were circulating on WhatsApp.

In the photos, the tipper truck had mounted a divider and knocked over the sign for the Clementi Avenue 2 exit.

The police told Stomp that they were alerted to an accident involving a tipper truck along the AYE towards the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE).

"No one was injured," a spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
