A taxi passenger was taken to hospital after an accident between a SMRT taxi and a car at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on Friday (Apr 26).

Stomper Adriano alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and videos taken at the scene.

In the photos, the taxi has crashed into a fence on a grass patch near a block of Housing Board flats.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 12.31pm.

A male taxi passenger was conscious when taken to Sengkang General Hospital, a police spokesman said.

SMRT corporate communications vice-president Margaret Teo told The Straits Times that the taxi driver also suffered minor injuries.

She said: "Our Care team is reaching out to render assistance to the passenger and taxi driver."

She added that SMRT is assisting the police in their investigations.
