They have been counselled.

An SMRT staff member was caught on camera vaping outside Fajar LRT station while another was alleged to have left litter behind.

Stomper Van shared a five-second video of a man in an SMRT uniform using an e-cigarette near the LRT station in Bukit Panjang on July 28 at 12.15pm.

The Stomper said the SMRT staff member was vaping at the sheltered walkway.

The use of e-vaporisers has been banned in Singapore since Feb 1, 2018. Those caught purchasing, using or having in their possession such products in Singapore are liable to a fine of up to $2,000.

The Stomper also shared photos of another SMRT staffer whom the Stomper alleged left a cigarette butt and a used disposable cup on the ground.

"The dustbin is nearby, but he still littered," claimed the Stomper.

In response to a Stomp query, Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT) head Chan Wye Keong said: "We do not condone such behaviour.

"We have counselled the staff immediately. Investigation is ongoing.

"We will follow up with necessary actions.”
