Stomper Deng sent Stomp photos showing huge caterpillars on a tree at 366 Yishun Ring Road that he saw on Apr 8 in the morning.
In a telephone interview, Deng said that the huge bugs were around 10cm in length and 2cm in width.
He saw about 8 caterpillars on the tree.
When he came back to the same spot on Apr 16 however, he noticed that there were fewer caterpillars and suspects that some of them might have been eaten by birds.
Said the Stomper:
"The caterpillars looked quite scary."
The huge greenish creatures are probably caterpillars of the Atlas Moth, the largest species of moth in the world. Its wingspan can reach over 25cm.
