New kind of car spoiler? Man drives with rear boot open at Loyang Way

Did the driver forget?

A car was spotted on the road with its rear boot open at Loyang Way on Jan 15 at 6.30pm.

Sharing a dash cam video of the incident, a Stomper joked that the driver decided to use the rear boot lid as a spoiler.

"It looked very cool and amusing. So many interesting drivers on the road these days," said the Stomper.

The video shows the car at the junction of Loyang Way and Loyang Lane near the Loyang Tua Pek Kong temple.

"From afar, we saw a vehicle stop at the traffic light junction with the rear boot open," recounted the Stomper.

"The driver came out of the car for a short while and went back in. At first, we thought his car had a problem. Probably a breakdown but no hazard lights on.

"I tried flashing him a few times to warn him, but he seemed to ignore me and drove off straightaway once the traffic light turned green. I think he didn't realise his boot was open. So funny."
