A 45-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed into a lorry that ran a red light at the junction of Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim and Tuas West Road on Mar 25.

The 25-year-old male lorry driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death, the police told Stomp.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident which was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

In the video, the lorry can be seen moving forward even though the traffic light is red and not in its favour.

The lorry then comes to a sudden stop in the middle of the junction shortly before the motorcycle crashes into it from the right.

The rider goes flying and is later seen lying on the ground.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 7.30am.

"A 45-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away," a police spokesperson said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
