A motorcyclist and his female pillion rider were taken to hospital after the motorcycle they were on hit a concrete block that fell from a trailer truck.

The accident happened on Feb 24 at the junction of Bukit Batok Road and Bukit Batok West Avenue 6.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident which was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

In the video, a concrete block is seen falling from a trailer truck as it is making a right turn in the middle of the junction.

Shortly afterwards, the motorcycle presumably hits the concrete block and is sent skidding before coming to a stop near a crossing.

Other motorists stop to help the riders.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 12.05pm.

"A 27-year-old male motorcyclist and his 28-year-old female pillion were conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
