Five people were taken to hospital after two cars got into an accident in Yishun on Feb 22.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Yishun Avenue 3 and Yishun Avenue 2 at around 9pm.

They added: "A 47-year-old female car driver and a 26-year-old male car driver, and their three passengers, aged between 22 and 52, were conveyed conscious to the hospital."

Stomper Kohji shared photos and a video taken at around 11pm, showing the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) at the scene.

A badly damaged white car and black car can be spotted with debris strewn around them. The white car's front bumper also appears to be dislodged and can be seen lying in pieces at a central road divider.

Police investigations are ongoing.
