A 20-year-old motorcyclist and his 22-year-old male pillion rider were taken to hospital after an accident involving two cars and a motorcycle on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Feb 21.

Stomper Lim alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video he took as he was passing by the scene of the accident.

In the video, traffic going towards the city came to a standstill as Land Transport Authority (LTA) officers extinguished a fire involving a motorcycle lying on the road.

According to the LTA's Traffic News page on X, the accident happened before the Still Road South exit.

Motorists were advised to avoid lane 1.

In response to a Stomp query, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to the accident at 9am.

"LTA Traffic Marshals who were deployed extinguished the fire using dry powder extinguishers prior to SCDF’s arrival," an SCDF spokesperson said.

"SCDF conveyed one person to Singapore General Hospital and another person to Raffles Hospital."

The cause of the fire is under investigation and police investigations are ongoing.
