A 55-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after a two-car accident near Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC) on Feb 19.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted at 10.25am to the accident.

The woman, who was a car passenger, was conscious when taken to National University Hospital.

SCDF said another person was assessed for minor injuries but declined to be taken to the hospital.

Stomper Rose, who was on bus service 175, shared photos of an ambulance at the scene.

She said the bus was stuck in traffic outside ARC and did not move from 10.30am to 11.15am.

At 11.33am, the Land Transport Authority tweeted about the accident along Alexandra Road towards Malan Road after Pasir Panjang Road and advised motorists to avoid the left lane.

The police told Stomp that investigations are ongoing.

The Stomper said: "I did not know what the accident was and only saw a lady standing like the Badge Lady during Covid."

The Badge Lady, whose real name is Phoon Chiu Yoke, was jailed twice for not wearing a mask during the Covid-19 pandemic.
