A car caught fire at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 12 and Woodlands Avenue 5 on Thursday evening (Sep 30).
Stomper Cohen alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo he took of the vehicle engulfed in flames as he was passing by the scene.
"It should be a Honda Freed," said the Stomper.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the vehicle fire 6.35pm.
"The fire involved the engine compartment of a car," an SCDF spokesman said.
"The fire was extinguished by a member of the public using a domestic water hose from a nearby construction site prior to SCDF's arrival."
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
