Taxi engulfed by ball of fire at Jalan Anak Bukit

A taxi was engulfed in flames along Jalan Anak Bukit on July 31.

A Stomper shared with Stomp footage of the vehicle on fire at about 5.40pm.

Thick plumes of smoke are seen coming from the taxi as Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers arrive at the scene.

"Our pro firemen saved the day," he said.

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said they were alerted to the fire at 5.40pm.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a water jet," an SCDF spokesman said.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
